INFO

Ever since I picked up those first pair of sticks and hit the skins off that old, rustic, garage Pearl Premier drum kit at the age of 10, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the music industry. Fresh out of high school I went to London in search of an introduction into the industry, and this came on a performance basis: acting as a filler drummer, and then permanent drummer for the independent London based band Yossarian. Besides solely drumming for the band my fervour and passion to do with everything music pushed me into a managerial role, where I not only arranged tours all around the world but also liaised with media: setting up interviews and working hard to promote our three crowd-funded albums - I even began to create music videos to help with promotion. Within this time I became addicted to seeping my hands into everything to do with music: volunteering at festivals and music networking events, working in bars in Camden that showcased frequent 'original' local talent, going to Spain to learn Flamenco guitar and, of course, being a general punter at as many gigs as I could.

Despite all this world experience I had gained after several years, I thought it would be enhancing, and enlightening, to go to University to expand upon the skills I'd already acquired. As well as this I have been able to learn new skills which I hadn't even thought about, or conceived as skills until I learnt how to incorporate them properly into not only my professional life, but my daily one.

I just graduated from RMIT University with a BA (Music Industry) and this experience has confirmed for me that my aspirations for the future are entirely centred around pursuing a career which involves music. Primarily I want to perform; however even as a performer I will always want to be involved in the booking of tours and other managerial aspects.
